2023 Recap – SoccerNovo was Born!
Over the years, I was pretty in tune with youth soccer after coaching for so many years and going through the different levels with my son. In 2022, after many questions about the landscape of U.S. soccer, I decided that I should share my thoughts and help educate parents and players.
Instead of being a “social media influencer” on the subject of youth soccer, I wanted something that folks could refer back to. Social media happens too fast and I wanted a vault of info. This is when the idea of a soccer site was originated.
The Birth of SoccerNovo
Fast forward to the end of 2022 and I started coming up with the concept. And, in 2023 SoccerNovo was born.
As someone who has been a digital marketer for the last ten years, I knew that it was going to take a lot of work. But, I also knew how to build websites, write content, share it, and do all the technical stuff so I was able to build it efficiently.
After working on it for several months, I launched the site in January of 2023. After a full year of building it up, I’m proud to see the content is helping people in a big way. I’ve received many emails thanking me because a post helped them understand a particular topic.
To date, here’s what we’ve been able to accomplish:
- Published articles: 500
- Published buyer’s guides: 15
- Wrote a coaching eBook
- Produced social media templates for players and coaches
- Redesigned our site in December of 2023
- Helped tons of parents and players along the way
How quickly did the site grow? In 2023, 229,000 visitors came across soccernovo.com. For a 1-year-old site, I think this is amazing. If you’re on here now, I thank you!! But, there’s more to come…
Looking Ahead to 2024
It’s also great to look back with gratitude on the year that was but equally as important to look ahead. For 2024, we have some great things on our roadmap, including:
- More content from our soccer experts
- Launching our merch store
- Producing our first backyard rebounder (we’ve been designing and testing this over the last several months)
- relaunching our Youth Soccer Club directory
It’s an exciting time for us and I can’t wait to continue bringing you the best of youth soccer. If you’d like to keep informed about our launches, go ahead and sign up for our newsletter.
