Ross Brady: From Fire Academy to U15 USYNT

Ross Brady has been appointed as the new head coach of the U.S. Under-15 Boys’ National Team, bringing 15 years of coaching experience and a proven track record of developing young talent to this crucial role in the U.S. Soccer development pipeline.
TL;DR:
A Journey Through American Soccer
The Memphis native comes to the national team after an impressive stint with the Chicago Fire FC academy system, where he served as Head of Foundation Phase (U13 to U15) and coached multiple age groups.
During his time with the Fire, Brady helped develop 12 players who went on to sign MLS Homegrown contracts, including standout talents like goalkeepers Gaga Slonina and Chris Brady, and forward Brian Gutiérrez.
“It’s an honor to join U.S. Soccer as head coach of the U-15 Boys’ National Team,” Brady said. “I’m looking forward to instilling U.S. Soccer’s values with our young players as they enter the National Team system and helping unlock their full potential.”
Building the Foundation for Future Success
Brady’s appointment represents an excellent decision for U.S. Soccer’s youth development system. His extensive experience working with young players at precisely the age group he’ll now coach nationally provides a seamless transition that should benefit both the players and the program as a whole.
The new coach holds impressive qualifications, including his U.S. Soccer “A-Youth” License and the Elite Formation Coaching License from Major League Soccer and the French Football Federation.
Immediate Impact & Collaborative Approach
Brady isn’t wasting any time getting started. His first training camp with the U15 Boys’ National Team is happening this week in Mesa, Arizona. View current roster.
This camp marks the third gathering for the 2010-birth year cycle and includes the team’s first international matches—two friendlies against Mexico.
The timing of Brady’s appointment couldn’t be better for the development of these young players. Getting international experience against a traditional rival like Mexico will provide invaluable learning opportunities for the squad under their new coach’s guidance.
In his role, Brady will collaborate closely with U17 head coach Gonzalo Segares and U16 head coach Alex Aldaz to coordinate player development and movement between age groups.
This collaborative approach should greatly benefit the pipeline leading toward the 2025 FIFA U17 World Cup!
