QUICKPLAY Q-Fold Soccer Goal Review

We purchased this soccer goal and it’s been great. It is very difficult to find a good quality soccer goal that won’t blow over in the wind.

We finally found one!

It doesn’t look like it’s portable but it is. The back posts fold in which allows you to store it during months you don’t use it (like the winter in the northeast).

You can read our full review on the portable soccer goal.

What Size Soccer Goal Should I Buy?

The size of the soccer goal you should buy depends on a few factors, including your age, skill level, and the purpose for which you’ll be using the goal.

For younger players who are just starting, a smaller goal is typically recommended.

A goal that is around 2 feet wide and 2-3 feet tall is a good size for kids 6 and younger.

For older kids, a 5-foot-wide or larger goal is a good option.

A full-size goal is 8 feet tall and 24 feet wide. This may not be suitable for the backyard. As such, it’s okay to practice on a smaller net. We think it helps with your precision and placement.

Some of these portable soccer goals will have different sizes. So, choose one that’s best suited for the player.

How to Practice Shooting in the Backyard

Practicing your shot in the backyard is a great way to score more in games. It is one of the fundamentals that every youth soccer player should be working on.

Scoring goals is what the game is all about, and being able to shoot accurately and with power is essential for any player.

Here are some tips to help you practice your shooting in the backyard:

Work on your technique

The first step in improving your shooting is to work on your technique.

This involves getting your body in the right position, using the correct part of your foot, and following through with your shot.

Start by practicing your shooting technique without a ball, focusing on getting your body in the right position and using the correct part of your foot.

Practice shooting from different angles

In a game of soccer, you’ll often have to shoot from different angles and positions.

To prepare for this, practice shooting from different angles on the field.

This will help you develop the ability to shoot accurately and with power, no matter where you are on the field.

Use target practice

One of the best ways to improve your shooting accuracy is to use target practice.

Set up targets on the field, such as cones or small goals, and aim for them when shooting. This will help you develop the ability to shoot accurately and hit specific targets.

My son likes to spend time hitting the top-right or left part of the goal multiple times. It helps with his accuracy and muscle memory.

Work on your speed and power

Shooting with speed and power is essential for scoring goals in soccer.

To develop this skill, practice shooting with as much power as possible, focusing on getting the ball to the back of the net.

you can also practice shooting on the run, which will help you develop the ability to shoot with speed and accuracy while in motion.

Practice shooting under pressure

In a soccer match, you’ll often have to shoot under pressure, with defenders closing in on you.

To prepare for this, practice shooting with defenders around you, or with a goalkeeper in the net. This will help you develop the ability to shoot accurately and with power, even when under pressure.

The key is to keep practicing like you know how to! And, it’s important to have fun doing it.
