Material: Unplasticized Polyvinyl Chloride (uPVC), which is a type of plastic commonly used in construction and building applications. It is a rigid and strong material that is resistant to weathering, corrosion, and chemicals.
Finish Type: Weatherproof – we had a metal framed goal before and there were many parts that were rusted.
What’s Included: Frame, net, net clips, ground spikes, instruction book
Is it portable? Yes. Once the back bar is removed, the side bars fold in. Also, as is, it is lightweight so it can be moved around.
The Setup
The soccer goal was recently upgraded so the directions were a bit outdated. I messaged support and we figured out that the parts are now included in the poles.
The goal came in one large box w/ everything in it. There’s no need for a screwdriver or any other tools.
Overall, setting up the goal was pretty straightforward and easy. I was able to do it myself.
I clocked myself setting up the goal and…it took 27 minutes to setup.
Pros and Cons of the QUICKPLAY Q-Fold Goal
What we like about the soccer goal
After setting it up and my sons using it for the first week, here are the positives about the soccer goal:
- Easy setup (but your instructions may be outdated like ours was)
- Durable and strong material
- The plastic net clips are much stronger than Velcro
- The net seems to be thick enough to last
- 12’x6′ goal is big enough to make it fun for both my 7 year-old and 13 year-old
What we don’t care for
While we love the soccer goal so far, there are a few cons about it:
- Instructions were confusing because they were outdated but as long as you know that pieces are attached then you should be good to go
- I could see the top bar sagging at some point. Not now but maybe later down the road after the boys have used it more.
- Some Amazon complaints express that their child kicked the ball into the post and it cracked. Something to be aware of.
Our Final Thoughts
Overall, my sons are loving the new soccer goal.
Who is this goal ideally for? Youth soccer players (under 18) who want to practice in the backyard.
We’ve now gone through all four seasons and the goal is alive and well. The structure is sturdy. Naturally, there are a couple holes in the net but it’s
We’ve had a few other soccer goals in the past and this one seems to be the best thus far.
So, if you are looking for a quality soccer goal that is easy to setup, QUICKPLAY Q-Fold Soccer Goal found on Amazon may be your answer!
