USYNT U-15 Girls Win the CONCACAF Championship
The U-15 Girls USYNT secured the CONCACAF Championship by defeating Mexico 3-0 in the final. This marks an impressive fourth consecutive title.
The goals in the final match came from Mia Corona (14′), McKenna Whitham (65′), and Meila Brewer (90’+).
It wasn’t all gravy for the Youth U.S. National Team, they faced a tough Canadian team. Both sides protected their side with the end of regulation tied at 1-1. Witham scored in this match as well. The U.S. team moved on after an exciting PK shoutout.
Following the championship victory, Caroline Swann was honored as the Best Player of the Tournament. Carolina Reyna (younger sister of USMNT’s Gio Reyna) emerged as the top scorer.
The girls’ team was absolutely dominant the entire tournament. They outscored its three group opponents 27-1 on the road to the championship.
USA continued the offensive attack in the finals by outshooting Mexico 20-8.
This is a very talented group of players and there’s no doubt that we’ll be seeing many of them on the big stage!
