2023 MLS NEXT Showcase Schedule

2023 MLS NEXT Showcase Schedule

Every year, MLS NEXT organizes showcases across the nation over a ten-month period. The official 2023 MLS NEXT Showcase schedule is released and we have the dates to start planning your trip.

These showcases are outside of normal league play and provide an opportunity for players to get scouted by colleges, youth national teams and professional coaches.

Over 13,000 players across u13-u19 age groups get to showcase their talent on the pitch.

The following is the MLS NEXT Showcase schedule for 2023.

MLS NEXT Flex (May 12-16, 2023)

MLS NEXT Flex will feature the best MLS NEXT teams from the u15, u16, 17 and u19 age groups. All 64 teams in attendance will be competing to favorably position themselves for the MLS NEXT Cup Playoffs. The top 16 teams in each age bracket will get an automatic bid to the playoffs in June.

  • Location: Maryland SoccerPlex (Boyds, MD)
  • Dates: May 12-16, 2023
  • Age Groups: u15, u16, u17, u19 (64 teams in total)

MLS NEXT Cup Playoffs & Showcase (June 17-25, 2023)

32 of the top MLS NEXT teams from each age group will compete in the MLS NEXT Cup Playoffs to become the 2022/2023 MLS NEXT champion. The regular season and MLS NEXT Flex will determine the top teams that are invited to this year’s playoffs.

The teams that do not qualify for the MLS NEXT Cup Playoffs can still participate in the MLS NEXT Cup Showcase.

  • Location: Toyota Soccer Center and MoneyGram Soccer Park (Dallas-Fort Worth, TX)
  • Dates: June 17-25, 2023
  • Age Groups: u15, u16, u17, u19 (32 teams in total)

MLS NEXT All-Star Game (July 18, 2023)

The second annual MLS NEXT All-Star Game will be held in Washington, DC. The top MLS NEXT talent from across the U.S. and Canada will be invited by the MLS NEXT Player Selection Committee.

The highly anticipated game will feature an East vs. West matchup. Official rosters will be announced later this year.

In last year’s all-star showdown, the East came away with a 2-1 win with goals by Benjamin Cremaschi (Inter Miami CF) and Marcos Zambrano-Delgado (Philadelphia Union).
