U16 Boys’ USYNT Heads to South Florida for Training Camp

The U.S. Under-16 Boys’ National Team will hold a training camp in West Palm Beach, Florida from February 18-24, 2025. Head coach Alex Aldaz has selected 24 players, all born in 2009, for this camp.
These players are eligible for the 2025 FIFA U-17 World Cup in Qatar. The USA recently secured its spot for the 2008-birth year championship by winning Group F at the 2025 Concacaf U17 Qualifiers.
The 2009-birth year players in this camp will form the core group aiming to compete at the 2026 Concacaf U-17 Qualifiers and FIFA U-17 World Cup.
The roster draws primarily from MLS NEXT, with 14 MLS different clubs represented. Chicago Fire FC, FC Dallas, Houston Dynamo FC, New York City FC, and the Philadelphia Union each contribute two players. One player, forward Kairo Smith-Phillips, is based abroad with Crystal Palace in England.
