Teams Head Out to FL For 2025 National Academy Championships

The National Academy Championships kicks off Friday, February 14, 2025, bringing together over 60 of the nation’s top youth soccer clubs for an elite showcase event.

The elite tournament will be held at IMG Academy in Bradenton, FL. Weather conditions look ideal for the week with sunny 😎 skies and temperatures in the low 80s, though Sunday may see some rain.

This premier tournament features non-MLS academies competing across multiple age groups, providing crucial exposure opportunities for players in front of college coaches.

Event Dates & Divisions

  • MLS Next U16, U17 & U19*: February 14-17
  • NAL U17: February 17-19 (Saturday-Monday)
  • NAL U19: February 16-18 (Friday-Sunday)

*Note: While this event includes MLS Next age groups, MLS academy teams are not participating. The tournament features premier non-MLS youth clubs.

Tournament Format

  • 6 games per team – the first three are bracket games
  • 2×30 minute halves
  • Over 60 elite clubs participating
