New England Revs Sign Peyton Miller
On June 12, 2023, The New England Revolution has made history by signing 15-year-old Peyton Miller to a Major League Soccer contract.
The youngest signing in the club’s history is set to join the team in 2024 as a homegrown player.
Miller is a defender/midfielder who has been a part of the Revs Academy and hails from Unionville, Connecticut.
The signing of Miller is a significant move for the Revolution, as they continue to invest in their youth development program.
Miller’s signing is a testament to the club’s commitment to developing young talent and providing opportunities for them to reach their full potential.
The signing of Miller also highlights the growing trend of MLS clubs investing in young talent.
The league has made significant strides in recent years to improve its youth development programs, and the signing of Miller is evidence of this!

Contract Details
Miller has signed a professional contract with the Revolution through the end of 2023, as well as a four-year MLS contract beginning in 2024. The financial details of the contract have not been disclosed, but it is expected to be a lucrative deal for a player of his age and potential.
As a homegrown player, Miller will not count against the Revolution’s salary cap. He will also be eligible for a portion of any transfer fee if he is sold to another club in the future.

Impact on New England Revs
On-Field Performance
Miller, who is just 15 years old, has already shown great potential as a defender/midfielder and has been a standout player in the Revolution Academy.
Miller’s speed, agility, and technical skills are some of the attributes that make him a valuable addition to the team.
He has the ability to play multiple positions, which could give the Revolution more flexibility in their tactics.
With Miller’s youth and energy, he could provide a spark to the team’s offense and defense, helping them climb up the league standings.
Team Dynamics
Like many young talents, Miller’s youth and enthusiasm could inject new energy into the team.
His arrival could motivate the other players to work harder and strive for excellence. Miller’s presence on the team could also create a sense of competition for playing time, which could push the other players to improve their performance.
The Revs are no strangers to signing homegrown players. In the past year, they’ve signed a few standouts including Noel Buck, Jack Panayotou, and Esmir Bajraktarević.
We are very excited about what is happening in U.S. soccer. Finally, we are seeing the byproduct of strong youth programs coming to fruition as professional players.
We are equally pumped to see what Peyton does in the future. Best of luck, Peyton!
