2023 Generations Adidas Cup: Just Announced

The Generations Adidas Cup (GAC) is an annual youth soccer tournament organized by Adidas in partnership with Major League Soccer (MLS) for players in the u15 and u17 age groups.

The tournament features some of the top youth teams from around the world, including teams from MLS NEXT academies and international clubs.

In this year’s tournament, 19 international teams representing 5 different continents will compete for the cup. They will join 29 MLS NEXT academy teams.

Brief Overview of Generation Adidas

The tournament is named after Adidas’ youth development program, Generation Adidas, which is aimed at identifying and developing young soccer talent.

The GAC provides a platform for young players to showcase their skills and compete against other top youth teams from around the world.

The tournament features two age groups: U-17 and U-15. The format of the tournament consists of a group stage followed by knockout rounds, with the winners of each age group being crowned champions.

The Generations Adidas Cup has become a prestigious youth soccer tournament and has helped to develop some of the top young talent in North America. Several former GAC participants have gone on to play for MLS clubs and national teams, including Alphonso Davies, Tyler Adams, and Jonathan Gonzalez.
