U17 GNT Announces August Camp Roster Ahead of Spain Trip

The USYNT has revealed the roster for the U17 Women’s National Team August camp, featuring 23 promising young players as the squad prepares for two crucial matches in Spain on their road to the 2025 U17 Women’s World Cup.
Critical Final Preparation for World Cup Selection
The U.S. Under-17 Women’s National Team will travel to Spain from August 22-September 1, 2025 for a pair of international friendlies against the hosts at Stadi OlÃmpic Camilo Cano in Alicante on August 28th and 31th at 11 am.
These matches represent the final opportunity for players to impress head coach Katie Schoepfer before she selects the 21-player roster for the 2025 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup in Morocco (October 17-November 8).
Coming off their championship victory at the 4 Nations Tournament in Mexico City, where they defeated Mexico and Costa Rica while tying Canada, 14 players from that successful campaign will travel to Spain, including leading scorers midfielder Nyanya Touray (3 goals) and defender Sydney Schmidt (1 goal).
The roster showcases talent across all positions, with the squad featuring players ranging from those born in 2008 to the youngest player, midfielder Loradana Paletta, born in 2011. The team includes seven players entering their freshman years of college, 14 club players, and notably two players currently living and playing in Spain: goalkeeper Carmen O’Dea (Barcelona U-19s) and defender Claire Bessenger (CE Europa Femenino in Barcelona).
