The easiest way to score goals is to be more available in front of the net. I can’t tell you how many balls skip across the goal or are deflected by the keeper.

By being at the right place at the right time, you can easily tap in goals for your team.

Most goals at the U14 age group and younger aren’t bangers. They are simply balls that find their way to a player right in front of the goal.

So, when your team is making a run along the sidelines or toward the middle, pick your spot. Sprint to that position and give yourself an opportunity to kick it into the back of the net.

To score more goals at any age, you don’t need to work on your power. You don’t need to try to get by five defenders. You don’t need to curve it past the goalkeeper.

You simply need to position yourself to be available or capitalize on your opponent’s mistakes.
