2025 ECNL Boys Champions

The ECNL Boys National Finals just wrapped up, and wow – what a day for youth soccer! Five new champions walked away with trophies, but one club really stole the show.
XF Academy made ECNL Boys history by winning three national championships in one season, while two clubs celebrated their very first national titles at the championship finals.
TL;DR:
U17 Division: XF Academy Claims Second Title
XF Academy’s U17 team came into the championship looking for their second national title in three years. They’d won at U15 level back in 2023, so these players knew what it felt like to be champions.
The game started with XF Academy creating chances early on. Their best opportunity in the first half came in the 22nd minute when a shot clanged off the post – so close to opening the scoring!
Right before halftime, they finally broke through. Alessandro Amador sent a perfect ball across the goal mouth, and Oscar Santana was waiting at the back post to finish it off. 1-0 at the break.
The second half was all XF Academy. Just one minute in, Zachariah Hume scored from inside the box after getting a nice pass from Santana. Then the floodgates opened – Harper Mikolasy headed home a corner kick, and Santana added his second goal of the game.
Four goals in seven minutes made it 4-0, and that’s how it ended.
U16 Division: Florida Premier Makes History
For the first time ever, Florida Premier won an ECNL Boys national championship. Even better – they became the first Florida-based club to win an ECNL Boys title!
Their championship game against Pateadores was tight for most of the first half. Both teams had their chances, but as time went on, Florida Premier started taking control.
The breakthrough came just minutes before halftime. Florida Premier earned a corner kick, and after the ball was served into the box, a forward flicked it toward goal. The shot hit the Pateadores goalkeeper and bounced into the net for a 1-0 lead.
Four minutes later, they struck again. After disrupting Pateadores’ passing, Florida Premier created an odd-man rush. Tomas Garcia got the ball and immediately ripped a shot into the bottom right corner. 2-0 at halftime.
The final nail in the coffin came in the 83rd minute. Ibrahim Abdelsalam stole the ball at midfield, cut to his right, and fired a shot from outside the box that beat the keeper to the left post. 3-0, game over.
U15 Division: Legends FC’s Breakthrough Moment
Legends FC had been trying to win their first ECNL Boys championship for three years. The previous two seasons, they couldn’t even make it out of group play. This year was different.
Their 5-1 victory over STA was dominated by one player – Kingston Rojas, who scored a hat trick.
Legends started fast when Marcel Aguilar fired home a shot from inside the box in the 5th minute. Rojas made it 2-0 in the 27th minute with a header that hit the post, but he followed up his own rebound to score.
STA tried to fight back in the second half and had a great chance off a corner kick, but a goal line clearance kept them off the board. Moments later, Rojas scored his second goal to make it 3-0.
STA finally got on the board in the 52nd minute when Aavik Akarte scored off a corner kick to cut it to 3-1. But Legends answered right back on the counter attack, with Rojas completing his hat trick.
They added one more goal in the closing minutes to secure the 5-1 win.
U14 Division: XF Academy’s Dramatic Winner
For 79 minutes, these two teams battled back and forth without finding the net. XF Academy had more chances in the first half, while Concorde Fire Platinum pushed forward more after halftime. Extra time and penalty kicks were looking likely.
Then, in the 79th minute, XF Academy finally struck. A cross came in from the right side, narrowly missing forward Owen White. But the ball found another XF Academy player on the far side, who kicked it back across goal. White was there to flick a shot that hit the Concorde Fire Platinum goalkeeper and bounced into the side netting.
That was all they needed. After just a few minutes of stoppage time, the final whistle blew and XF Academy had their second championship of the day.
U13 Division: XF Academy
The youngest age group provided the perfect ending to XF Academy’s historic day.
The first 20 minutes were played mostly in midfield, with both teams being careful with possession. As the half went on, XF Academy started getting more comfortable in Legends’ end of the field.
In the 23rd minute, they scored the opener in spectacular fashion. Forward Nigel Knoblich won the ball at the top of the box, surrounded by defenders. He quickly turned and shot, and even though the Legends goalkeeper made the initial save, Knoblich had put enough spin on the ball that it bounced over the keeper and crossed the goal line.
XF Academy held that 1-0 lead for most of the game, defending well against everything Legends threw at them. But in the final minutes, they put the game away for good.
